No means no, period. If she isn’t sober, then she cannot give consent. Just because she is dressed a certain way doesn’t mean she wants to have sex, maybe she’s just proud of her body and feels pretty? Society has been teaching girls from a young age so many things that in all honesty are wrong. Telling a girl “you can’t dress how you want otherwise you’re asking to be raped” is unacceptable, we need to teach them to be confident and love themselves, and the guys need to be taught that it’s NOT okay to force themselves on a girl. The same goes for the “oh he’s mean to you at recess, that just means he has a crush on you.” this right here is telling a girl that it’s okay for boys to be mean to her, and as she grows up if this sticks in her head she ends up with the same guys that are rapists and/or abusers. Just stop.

This whole friendzone bullshit needs to stop as well, just because a girl doesn’t want to date you and only wants to be friends doesn’t make her a bitch. Everyone has their preferences, sitting there trying to make a girl feel bad because she doesn’t want to be with you, might make you “feel better” but in the long run, you’re just an asshole, you’re not the “nice guy” that you’re trying to claim to be, by doing things and saying things like that you’re just as awful as a person as the dicks you think she’s attracted to.

The most alarming statistics are the amount of rapes that go unreported and the fact that majority of rapists wont ever spend any time locked up. The laws need to change, society needs to change, we all need to make these changes happen. 1 in 6 women are victims of attempted or completed rape in their life time. One of these women could be your Mother, Sister, Friend, or even your Daughter.

How Do You Say Goodbye?

My Grandpa was diagnosed with stage four soft cell cancer, he received chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The treatments extended his life for two years, now they say he only has a matter of days left and its time to say goodbye.

Am I Wrong?

Relationships regardless of the type take work.

You can’t expect to keep a relationship of any type at a really connected level without some commitment from either party, sure you can go a long time without talking to a friend and then when you do speak again have things feel like there was never any time spent without each other.

Strangers Are Just Friends We Haven’t Met Yet!

I’ve spent my day sitting in a Starbucks, lending my ear to people who needed to get thing’s off their chest.

I was happy to be able to share the table I sat at with two very different people who were looking for the same thing, Coffee, relaxation, and just having someone listen as they let things off their chest.

Making Mistakes

When taking a chance how do you know if it’s actually a mistake or not?

She felt each word like a burning needle in her chest, her heart was being tore apart.

She wanted him to be the one, they were just too different of people, they could not make things work.

Been super busy lately with my new job, the hours have kicked my ass! It’s not that there are to many hours that I’m working it’s only around 40 a week, it’s the fact that the time I work changes every day, it’s making having a legit sleep schedule ridiculous.

I miss writing so much! over the next few weeks I’m going to try to write in my free time instead of nap. Hopefully something I would love to share comes out!

Run Away…

I’m sure a lot of you have had that feeling that you want to just run away, even as adults having the urge to just run away and get lost in the world away from everything and everyone we know, crosses our minds.

Taking surveys wont make you rich, and it sure doesn’t replace a real job, trust me.

If you do it right though you can make enough extra cash to cover some of your bills.

Quitting Smoking

I’ve quit smoking before and it was really easy, just quit smoking even though I had smoked most of my life.

I have decided I want to quit once again, and hopefully this time not let outside influences to get my started again.

It’s harder this time around, I am not really sure how I want to go about replacing the habit. When I quit that first time I replaced it with riding my bike 12 miles a day, which felt great by the way! Now I don’t have my old bike, sure I can borrow my buddies bike it’s just not the same style that I enjoy riding. it’ll have to do for now.

Quitting smoking, is a healthy choice for someone to do in life, but that’s not my reason to stop actually, as sad as that might sound, I only want to quit to save money. Buying a pack of smokes every other day at 5 bucks a pop sure does add up!

The first month is the hardest, I’ll have my emotional tantrums, and probably be very rude to some people who wont deserve it. I’m going to do whatever I can to control that though!
